In a perfect world, it seems like the best model for the best healthcare is to have an all electronic health record. However, many organizations are still not fully electronic. They may have a hybrid record or occassionally a paper record. The work to implement EHRs has been a long time in coming and was catapulted into existence with the passing of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) in 2009.

Conduct some research and post your findings about what is happening now with the implementation of EHRs. What percentage of hospitals have implemented a full EHR, how many have a hybrid? What about physician practices, where do they stand? Post your findings with your references. What has your personal experience been? Or if you currently work in healthcare, what is your experience there?
